TrafOne of the things we continually teach at CCC is, “When God birthed you he birthed you with a dream”.  I believe that has contributed to lots of people serving in their God-given passion and a number of new difference-making organization being started.  CCC attendees Desiree Tolbert-Guzman and her husband Rick believe the dream that God has for them is to assist refugees by “reclaiming hope for war torn families”. In an effort to fulfill that dream they have started what I believe is going to be an amazing difference-making organization called TRAF (Tolbert Relief Assistance Foundation). I’m a big fan of Desiree and Rick and know they live out personally what they hope to accomplish through TRAF. TRAF’s theme verse is “Spend yourself in behalf of the poor and satisfy the needs of the oppressed.” (Isaiah 58:10).  TRAF’s missional objectives are three-fold:

  • Reuniting families separated by war or persecution.
  • Meeting emergency needs of family members separated abroad.
  • Assisting local refugees with urgent basic needs.

If you would like to learn more about TRAF check out their new website or this video from Rwanda.
