Kingdom_5k_dave_finishing_2_3The last couple days have been run, run, run… but I’m really not complaining.  It started on Saturday with our Kingdom 5K Race/Run. This is an event completely organized and led by volunteers and all the proceeds go to our NewThing Network to help start new churches.  We had about 100 more participants this year and great involvement from community sponsors. It is really a fun race and you can see me crossing the finish line…no Olympic records…but crossing the finish line!

After the Kingdom 5K I was off to coach Caleb (my 8 year old son) Little League Baseball game – that was a blast and they look really good for a group of 2nd and 3rd graders.

Then onto Josh’s 13 year old son) Pony League Baseball game where we got crushed 17-0!?!  That was painful.  However I was on the cell phone checking in on Amy’s (15 year old daughter) Neuqua Valley High School Lacrosse game – which we won 7-4!  Win some lose some.

All this finishes in time for me teach twice on Saturday night and twice on Sunday morning at our Naperville locations before catching a flight Sunday afternoon to Orlando for the National New Church Conference.

So, I’m in Orlando now and this is going to be a great week…more to come!
