In the next six months there are two churches that will take amazing risks for the Kingdom. Sometimes risks end in disaster and sometimes it ends in unprecedented success and in so doing sets the standard.
The Chapel in Grayslake, Illinois, a church with almost 4,000 attenders will go from one site to four sites starting on the weekend of August 27th. We have spent some time talking with the Chapel team about going to multi-site, but this risk goes beyond our starting two new locations at once. I’m totally rooting for them!
The other church is Living Hope Church in Vancouver, Washington that has about 3,400 attenders and will go from one site to five sites this Easter. I had never heard of these guys til this week, but it looks like they are on an aggressive growth curve and are ready to take it to a new level. I hope it works…I can’t wait to learn from them.
Do you know any other churches that are reproducing more than one site at a time?
This fall NewThing will be offering for the first time a 2+ Forum for churches that are ready to go beyond just two sites. Be watching for details.
